University Courses - Entry Requirements
We welcome applications from students with appropriate qualifications, prior work experience or a demonstrable interest and talent in a subject.
Typically our university students have A level or National Diploma qualifications. Students who wish to study an arts or design course may need to complete a 1 year full-time (2 years part-time) Foundation Art course before applying for a place on a degree course.
We are always keen to receive applications from mature students. We consider each application on individual merit, as well as educational qualifications and work experience, so we sometimes accept mature students without the specified entry requirements.
If you are unsure whether you have the right skills to succeed on a university level course, please contact College Information for advice. In most cases we do require mature students to have GCSE (or equivalent), Key Skills or Basic Skills Level 2 in English/Communication/Literacy.
Arts and Design Applicants
If you apply for a place on an arts and design course (including Foundation Year and Access), you will be invited to attend an interview where you will have the opportunity to show your portfolio of work.
