Comfortable rooms and a good social life, all set in leafy surroundings

Canonsgrove, our purpose built Halls of Residence, is in Staplehay on the edge of Taunton. There are 192 en-suite study bedrooms which are offered to our first year university level students. Second and third year students can sometimes find places too, but this isn't guaranteed.

All the rooms are fully furnished with en-suite study bedrooms and all have wireless internet access. They're mainly grouped in clusters of six or seven and share a well-equipped self-catering kitchen/diner, which is a great way to get to know people. Its all set in parkland, so you can always go for a wander when you've had enough of being sociable, or just want to relax in peaceful surroundings. A team of residential staff and student wardens live on site too. They can help with any problems as well as making sure everything is safe and sound.

But it's more than just simply a place to stay

Canonsgrove has a varied calendar from sports to social events - and daytime and evening activities.

Getting to the College from Canonsgrove and back

Cycling: It takes approximately fifteen minutes to cycle to College and there are cycle racks available, both at the Halls and at the main College site.

By Bus: It is a ten to fifteen minute bus ride from the Halls to the main College site, with an optional bus pass available for unlimited travel within the Taunton area. (discounted bus passes are available through the local bus company).

By Car: Limited car parking is available at Canonsgrove. This currently costs 50 each year.
